Squid on the laptop

So, I reinstalled Squid on my Fedora 13 laptop. My plan is to use it to broadcast fewer and fewer of my internet statistics. Also, even though we now have a much faster internet connection, sometimes it still flakes out and the proxy would help cache some data.

To that end, one thing I’m worried about is the Squid cache and the log files becoming quite large. To that end, I’ve combined information from

http://www.tech-faq.com/how-to-create-a-cron-job.html

with the commend ‘squid -k rotate’ to make a cron job.

Further,

looks like it could be useful for getting my anonymity up as much as possible.

Enjoy!
