Motorola RAZR Again (tonight!)

So I have to change my story. I got the KMobileTools to work with my MotoRazr.

I went through the menus to set the phone back as a modem (Menu->Settings->Connection->USB Settings->Default Connection->Data Connection). At this thread in Ubuntu Forums, I had the bright idea just to try the change to /dev/ttyACM0. Why not. It initially didn’t work logged in as a normal user. So, when I logged in as root using “su -“, then changed the device to /dev/ttyACM0, it worked instantly. So I gave the

chmod a+rw /dev/ttyACM0

command it now works for me as a regular user. Images of the main interface and the Settings interface show the usefulness. Note that the “chmod a+rw” command will have to be reissued each time the phone is reconnected. I need to write udev rule about this. I know that it will include

BUS==”usb”, KERNEL==”ttyACM0″, SYMLINK+=”mobile”, SYSFS{product}==”Motorola PCS”

but other than that, I don’t know how to name the udev rule. Any comments?
